About the game

Magic Jewels is a jewel-matching game you play in your browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up. You swap two neighboring jewels to line up three or more of the same kind; they vanish and the tile they sat on turns gold. Each level’s goal is to make every tile golden before you run out of moves.

The levels never end: each one brings a new board and a new challenge, and the scenery changes every few levels, through places like Sparkling Fields, Gem Valley, Crystal Caves and Golden Isles. If you prefer no pressure, Relax mode has no move limit: once everything is golden, a new round begins.

The game has effects and music made for it, helpers for tough moments, and works well on phones and computers.

How to play

1. Swap two neighboring jewels by dragging or tapping both.
2. Line up 3 or more of a kind in a row or column to clear them.
3. Where a jewel vanishes, the tile turns golden. Make every tile golden before the moves run out.
4. 4 in a row makes a lightning jewel, 5 makes the rainbow, and an L or T shape makes a bomb.
5. Swap two special jewels for giant effects.
6. Chain reactions fill the energy bar and earn gift jewels. Leftover moves turn into explosions at the end.

Tips

• Start with jewels near the bottom: cascades fall from the top on their own and can light extra tiles.
• Save special jewels for the most isolated golden tiles, which are the hardest to reach.
• Swapping two special jewels has much bigger effects than using each one alone.
• The Hammer breaks one jewel, Shuffle rearranges the board and Hint shows a move. You earn helpers by winning levels.
• Out of moves by a hair? There is a +5 moves bonus once per level.
